Kicklahoma

I was contacted by the Kicklahoma team via Instagram and invited to be the guest artist at their sneaker event. Kicklahoma is a touring team from the Midwest full of sneaker enthusiasts. They create and host events for the public. They’ve opened their own retail space in a few Oklahoma malls. This was a fun opportunity to meet new people, showcase my work, talk about product, and have fun.

Nike Air Max Day at bodega

Cult secret sneaker boutique, Bodega, hosted an Air Max Day event for all sneaker enthusiasts. Boston’s Nike Ekin reached out to me to create 12 digital footwear renders depicting Air Max history through the years. I decided to then create a limited release calendar celebrating the event. If you’re crazy about sneakers, you know March 26th is a celebrated day in footwear!

C.a.k.e. - chicks. art. kicks. exhibition.

C.A.K.E. was a specially curated event in Brooklyn, NY celebrating women artists and sneaker enthusiasts. Being invited from Boston to participate in this event meant a lot to me. It was amazing to see so many other women artists who enjoy the sneaker culture. It was rewarding to be able to give back to all the people who attended. I raffled off giveaways to the public and made many friends. The event was also featured in Karen Civil’s platform.

upcycling workshop at Blackstone

Volunteered for a few classes with teen members of Blackstone Community Center. A friend and I used an opportunity with Blackstone to give back. We taught the kids about the importance of taking care of the things you have. We taught them that just because something looks old, doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance to make it new again. We taught them the importance of re-purposing. We took a methodical approach to teaching the kids the step by step basics of manipulating materials on soft goods.
